Our Vineyard
A Hidden Gem in the Mayacamas, Where Nature and Terroir Create Exceptional Wines
Atop the Mayacamas mountain ridge in the heart of the Fountaingrove District AVA, Abbadessa Vineyard is a hidden gem at 1,600 feet elevation, offering breathtaking views of Mt. St. Helena and Napa Valley. Our four-acre vineyard, nestled within a pristine 40-acre estate, is home to 30-year-old vines that flourish in this extraordinary landscape. The combination of clay and sandy loam soils and a cool, north-facing slope create the ideal terroir for crafting wines of depth, character, and elegance.
Encircled by a lush expanse of Douglas fir, pines, madrone, and live oaks, the vineyard serves as a sanctuary for diverse wildlife, from bobcats and cougars to bears, coyotes, owls, hawks, and golden eagles. In harmony with nature, we forego herbicides and embrace sustainable farming practices, using only minimal, disease-specific spraying. At Abbadessa Vineyard, every bottle reflects the essence of our land—wines that are not only exceptional but also a true expression of this unique and beautiful place.
